Hoboken | Walker – Lyric for Strings
At the Hoboken waterfront, an NJSO string quartet plays Lyric for Strings, the most performed work from George Walker’s String Quartet No. 1. The trailblazing, Pulitzer-winning composer was the first Black composer to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music, and lived in Montclair, NJ, for most of his life.
